Stealing Klimt documents the struggle of 90-year-old heiress Maria Altmann who struggled for seven years to reclaim five Gustav Klimt paintings stolen from her family by the Nazis. The art had hung in the Austrian National Gallery since 1945 and included the famous “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I” which set the record for the largest sum paid for a painting when it was bought by Robert Lauder.
