About the FilmFest

More than 6000 people attended the 2016 Cleveland Jewish FilmFest.

The acclaimed and popular Cleveland Jewish FilmFest is now in its tenth year. Each year, the FilmFest features a tremendous lineup of international films and special events for all ages. The festival offers a broad selection of feature, documentary and short films with Jewish themes that screen at local theaters and venues including Shaker and Cedar Lee Cinemas.

Film Submissions:

All film submissions must have some reference to the Jewish/Israeli experience. Feature films, documentaries and shorts are welcome. There is no fee for submitting                   

For consideration, applicants must include the following:

  • Screener (NTSC or PAL). Escreeners are welcome. All non-English films must include English subtitles
  • Film synopsis
  • Country of origin, length, release year, available formats, assessment of film rating (or suitable audience age)
  • Director information (please include if Director is available to travel with the film)
  • Publicity information
  • Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like the film returned.
