Playland Day Camp, for children entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, introduced young campers to new skills, new friends and all the wonderful kid-friendly areas and activities of The Mandel JCC.

Important Dates:
December 14: VIP registration for 2009 camp participants (with current Mandel JCC membership)
January 4: Registration for Mandel JCC members
January 11: Registration open to the community
June 21: First day of camp 2010!

Campers feel safe and secure in a nurturing atmosphere that encourages them to grow, have fun and learn age-appropriate skills. Our senior counselors are college age and older; Junior counselors are in high school.

We maintain ongoing communication with parents to help them understand and enjoy their child's first camp experience.

  • Shabbat is celebrated in addition to Israeli experiences and games.
  • Our sports specialist provides guidance in running, throwing, catching and kicking.
  • Children learn to be comfortable in the indoor pool through instructional and recreational swim. 
  • Arts & Crafts helps campers express their creativity. 
  • Campers love guest visitors such as Jungle Terry.

When Kindergarten campers finish the 6-week Playland program, they are ready to attend Anisfield A LA CARTE: Aleph for the last two weeks of the summer.

Our Early Childhood department offers AM and PM Care for Playland campers.
