How do you motivate people to workout and how do you keep them engaged?
I love my students and I hope that yoga can enrich their lives, so they can live more mindfully and joyfully.

How do you motivate people to workout and how do you keep them engaged?
I tell people that exercise works. It takes time & effort but it does work and it helps most physical problems that people experience.

What ’s your fitness philosophy?
Everyone can do Yoga. Be patient with your body when you’re learning something new. Try different classes & teachers. Exercise is fun!

I think the passion I feel for yoga is contagious. My classes are about awareness and acceptance.

What advice do you have for people new to Pilates ?
Find something you love to do! Surround yourself with people who inspire you. Do activities or sports you love. Listen to music that makes you want to move. Find a location where you feel energized and happy! And most important: listen to your body!

I used to be overweight. At age 21 I joined a gym for something social to do. I became active, strong, happy and lost weight doing it. I became an instructor so I can help others become the healthiest they can be.

I’ve been a group fitness instructor since 1981 and I’ve been an instructor at The J for more than 10 years.

I try to make workouts fun! I ask them questions, get to know them and make them feel a part of our fitness community.
