Course Description
This program will provide a structured environment where children ages 3 – 10 can explore their recreational, social, and behavioral potential through many activities in a group setting. We provide an individualized group program for children with special needs focusing on achieving developmental milestones, interacting socially with peers, participating in teamwork/team building activities, and demonstrating appropriate emotional control. Children will follow a schedule of activities, intertwining individual therapeutic goals with gross motor activities, socialization, team building activities, games, and a variety of strategically adapted sports activities. Positive reinforcement and behavioral strategies are used to assist children’s learning and mastery of skills. Each child will have an individual standardized assessment (CERT-PSYCH), followed by establishing goals and treatment plans. This program is run by Jennifer Knott, director of Rec2connect.
