All of The J's personal trainers have obtained nationally accredited certification or have a degree in the field of exercise science.

The Mandel Jewish Community Center's Beachwood Fitness Center is centrally located in Northeast Ohio, only minutes from I-271 and Chagrin Boulevard in Beachwood, Ohio. It is convenient to the following Cleveland suburbs:  Shaker Heights, Pepper Pike, Cleveland Heights, University Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst and Solon.

Personal Training at the Mandel JCC - Session Options:
Individual sessions: 30 or 60 minutes in length. Packages of 12 or 24 sessions may be purchased. Flexible payment options available.

TRX Suspension Training- Try the complete, total-body workout today!


Build lean muscle, boost your metabolism, tighten your core and increase endurance all with the use of a single strap. Class instruction is in a small group setting with no more than 8 per class.

Who: Mandel JCC members 13 and up
When: Sunday, 11 am–12 pm
Tuesday, 6:30–7 pm (Express), Thursday, 6:15–7:15 pm
Friday, 8:30-9 am (Express)

Golf Conditioning
Get your swing in top-notch shape with this four-week program focusing on strength, balance, flexibility and swing skills. Led by Jeff Yannarell, personal trainer and certified golf conditioning specialist.
Who: Mandel JCC members 13 and up
When: Thursdays, Jan 1-Feb 28, March 1-April 30• 6-7pm

Indoor Winter Track Conditioning
A specialized program for middle and high school runners focusing on speed, endurance, strength, agility drills, conditioning, flexibility and core strength. Athletes will be measured how much they improve their times. Led by Travis Rogen, personal trainer, high school track and cross country coach and marathon runner. Click here for details.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 pm

NEW- Extreme Cycling & Kettlebell
Burn max calories and build lean muscle all at the same time with this high-intensity, advanced small group training class combining Spinning and Kettlebells. The class will consist of 25 minutes of cycling followed by 25 minutes of Kettlebell instruction and stretching in the Fitness
Center Mezzanine. Maximum 8 people per class. Led by Joseph Morrison, certified personal trainer who also holds certifications in Spinning and Kettlebell instruction.

NEW- Women on Weights
A class just for women that uses free weights, Kettlebells and TRX bands to help
build muscle, burn fat and tone up! Class is limited to four people, beginner to intermediate fitness levels. Participants will be measured on measurement vs. weight, body composition, weight,
pushups, leg press, row and flexibility. Led by Emily Oldiges, certified personal trainer who specializes in Functional Strength Training, Corrective Exercises, TRX Suspension Training, Kettlebell and Partner-Assisted Stretching.
