Early Childhood

Why are our Early Childhood Programs So Special?

Welcome to The Mandel JCC's Early Childhood Program!

The Mandel JCC is committed to providing excellence in Early Care and Education. We offer both full-time and part-time programs for toddlers through pre-kindergarten age children. And because we know that a child's first learning experiences are among the most important, all of our developmentally appropriate programs promote children's social, emotional and cognitive growth during these critical years.

Young children are active, interested and naturally curious about the world around them; they learn best through real, concrete experiences. At The Mandel JCC our classrooms provide ongoing opportunities for young children to see, handle and use "real" objects and materials so they can acquire the necessary skills for later, more abstract learning.

Our Early Childhood classrooms provide ongoing opportunities for children to learn new skills, achieve mastery and work cooperatively within the classroom community. All children develop a secure sense of place and belonging within the classroom. Each child is appreciated for being a unique individual and regarded as a valuable and honored member of the "classroom family."

At The Mandel JCC Early Childhood Center children benefit from a warm, nurturing introduction to Jewish life. And, the Early Childhood educators bring each classroom to life! By creating safe and stimulating learning environments, children develop school readiness skills along with a natural love of learning. And most importantly, they acquire valuable tools to use now and in the years that follow.
