The Francine & Benson Pilloff Family Playmakers Performing Arts Camp is a unique theater camp that encourages kids to stretch their imagination, take risks on stage, develop creativity, soar to new heights and have a blast with classes and activities that develop self-confidence and a sense of teamwork.
Campers in each age group have the opportunity to participate in daily Israeli Arts and Culture classes and programs with our shlicha – a counselor from Israel!
Our beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat songfest each week, fabulous musical productions and our fun-filled daily classes are infused with the spirit of Judaism!
Theater campers may attend one or both four-week sessions, each with new material that culminates in an exciting musical production!

NEW! Sachkanim Class Offerings
Daily classes for Sachkanim will include Improv, Music, Dance, Scene
Stealers, Kef, Mish Mosh and “Backstage” – this class will be structured as 4 weekly seminars per session. Each week will focus on a different aspect of theatre
that happens behind the scenes such as script-writing, stage management,
directing, and painting techniques.
NEW! Sachkanim Performance Structure for Session Two
Campers will perform an end of session “showcase.” Campers will have
the unique opportunity to sign up, and in some cases audition, for the type of
performance they will work on for 4 weeks. Campers will choose between
dramatic pieces, vocal performances, a cappella group performances, dance,
interactive improv, reader’s theatre, student directed one act plays…and
Back by Popular Demand! Theatre Conservatory Chug
This chug (elective) is designed for Sachkanim and Movilim campers who are interested in more intensive theatrical training. Each day of the week during elective time (Monday through Thursday), we will focus on a different aspect of theatre including voice, dance, monologues and audition techniques. The end of each session will culminate in a recital for campers and their families.

A Typical Day at Playmakers Performing Arts Camp:
Movilim (grade 9) Campers learn to become leaders and future counselors and receive instruction on child development, conflict mediation, special needs, health and safety, performing arts programming and staff responsibilities. Campers will also write and perform their own musical revue. Movilim schedule changes daily.
