“The opportunities I had in Playmakers Performing Arts Camp have shaped what I have done in my life so far. Playmakers brings out the best in me!" Former Camper & Current Supervisor Emma Miller.
This unique theater camp encourages kids to stretch their imagination, take risks on stage, develop creativity, soar to new heights and have a blast with classes and activities that develop self-confidence and a sense of teamwork.
Campers in each age group have the opportunity to participate in daily Israeli Arts and Culture classes and programs with our shlicha – a counselor from Israel!
Our beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat songfest each week, fabulous musical productions and our fun-filled daily classes are infused with the spirit of Judaism!
Theater campers may attend one or both four-week sessions, each with new material that culminates in an exciting musical production!
- Daily classes in drama, dance, music, technical theatre and more
- Hands-on leadership training sessions for 9th graders
- Splashy musical productions with solos and lines for all campers
- 3rd-8th graders can perform or work behind the scenes in set design and construction
- Cookout lunches
- Fun-filled late nights & overnights
- Nurturing, enthusiastic, talented and committed staff
- Performance chug for eight-week Sachkanim campers
NEW! THEATRE CONSERVATORY CHUG!
This chug (elective) is designed for Sachkanim and Movilim campers who are interested in more intensive theatrical training. Each day of the week during elective time (Monday through Thursday), we will focus on a different aspect of theatre including voice, dance, monologues and audition techniques. The end of each session will culminate in a recital for campers and their families.
