Outdoor Tennis in Beachwood

 

You’ll love our resurfaced Beachwood outdoor tennis courts!

The outdoor tennis courts are closed for the season and will re-open in the spring.

For the safety and enjoyment of all  the outdoor tennis courts will remain LOCKED at all times. Please have your Mandel JCC Membership Card – You will be asked to verify your membership.

Tennis courts close at dusk.

 

The outdoor tennis courts in Beachwood have a four-digit keypad lock so that only members can access the courts. During peak periods a Mandel JCC attendant is on duty to check your membership card and allow access for members and guests with a valid guest pass. If a staff person is not in attendance, please go to the Mandel JCC Membership Desk for the access code. Enjoy the courts!

Tennis Court Rules

The tennis courts are for use by Mandel JCC members or authorized groups only. Mandel JCC sponsored classes, leagues & summer camp programs take precedence over individual play. Please be considerate of others so that the courts may be enjoyed by all members

  • No street shoes are allowed on courts. Only tennis shoes may be worn.
  • When there is a wait to use the courts please observe these time limits: 1 hour time limit for singles; 1 1/2 hour limit for doubles.
  • Gates should be closed at all times.
  • All tennis court rules, regulations and courtesies should be observed.
  • Do not walk or stand in back or between courts while play is in progress.
  • Return balls to other courts without interfering with play in progress.
  • Players are expected to wear appropriate attire. Shirts must be worn at all times. Bathing suits are not permitted.
  • No bicycles, skates, skateboards, in-line skates, hockey or other activities permitted.
  • No pets are allowed on courts.
  • Sitting or leaning on the nets is damaging to the nets and net straps and is prohibited.
  • Tennis ball cans and other debris should be placed in the trash receptacles provided.
  • Climbing on, hitting or kicking balls into, or running into fences is prohibited.
  • Courts close at dusk.
