When the Turner sisters’ father loses his job, their mother creates a gymnastic vaudeville act for her four daughters. Winnie, Gert, Kit and Nell hit the road, traveling from one small town to another, tumbling their way to the top. The endless hours, relentless travel, seedy motels and low pay takes its toll on the sisters as they discover the dark side of vaudeville — the thievery, prejudice, racism and danger. Though their act is a success and love blooms, the Turners face dangers and twists of fate they never could have anticipated.
Juliette Fay is the award-winning author of The Shortest Way Home, Deep Down True and Shelter Me. Fay received a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master’s degree from Harvard University. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and four children.
“The Turner Sisters dare to dream big- don’t miss this page turner.”
