Part one of the trilogy with Shiva and Gett, the film focuses on Viviane, a mother of three, as she contemplates divorce and struggles between tradition and her inner dreams and desires. Although her brothers gather to persuade her not to break Moroccan tradition by going through with her divorce, Viviane is determined to start a new life in modern Israel.
